Key Video (Greece)

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Not to be confused to the former CBS/Fox subsidiary here.

1st Logo (1980?-1981)

Visuals: Against a space environment, a neon blue vertical bar slides from the right to the left, leaving a rainbow white-stripped residue trail. A neon blue parallelogram zooms out to the right of the bar, also leaving a trail. The letter "V" zooms out underneath the parallelogram, again leaving a trail. Due to this, the shapes and letters form the connected letters "KV". A pink shadow appears behind the letters, which shines. The text "KEY VIDEO" zooms out to the right of the letters, leaving yet again another trail. The logo finalizes with the text "PRODUCTION" in a rainbow-gradient color slides from right to underneath the previous text, also leaving a residue trail.

Variant: Sometimes, it might zoom out to leave the screen (with another copy of the logo behind it).

Technique: A possible mix of cel animation and analog computer effects.

Audio: A majestic fanfare.

Availability: Seen in earlier Greek-dubbed VHS tapes from this company, such as Alien 2: On Earth, Divine Emanuelle and Blood of Dracula's Castle, among others.

2nd Logo (1985-1989)

Visuals: On a dark turquoise background, parts of the letters "KV" from before zoom out to the left and place themselves at their proper positions. Once the letters are formed, a shadow forms from behind. The words "KEY" and "VIDEO" zoom in (with "KEY" zooming in earlier than the other word), before the text "PRODUCTION" flashes in letter-by-letter below said words.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An 80s synthpop theme.

Availability: Seen in later Greek-dubbed VHS tapes from this company, such as Godzilla 1985, Death Spa, Black Roses, Firehouse, and Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare, among others.
