Background

This is Timothy O. Johnson's production company. It was originally formed in 2003 as Ignite Entertainment (no relation to the company that was formerly known as HSX Films) after he left Paxson Entertainment, and three years later, it was renamed to Johnson Production Group and Ignite became a distributor/subsidiary and continues to produce made-for-TV movies from that day.

1st Logo (2006-2010)

Visuals: Over a black background, the outlined words "JOHNSON PRODUCTION GROUP" flash in with a light effect. The logo shines, and then two white lines appear and settle from the top left and the bottom right.

Variant: Sometimes, the logo is still.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: None or the end theme of the TV movie.

Availability: Seen on TV movies from the era, like Held Hostage, A Daughter's Conviction, Toxic Skies, A Valentine Carol, Storm in the Heartland, Lost Behind Bars and Devil's Diary.

2nd Logo (2011-2012)

Visuals: On a black background, there are the letters "JPG" drawing in. Then it expands, and forms the text "JOHNSON PRODUCTION GROUP" with two turquoise lines drawing above and below the text.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: An ascending synth sound. Sometimes, the logo is silent or having the end theme of the TV movie playing over.

Availability: Seen on several TV movies from the era, like Home Invasion, Borderline Murder and Dear Santa.

3rd Logo (2012-)

Visuals: Over a black background, the text from before zooms out and slides in one by one, but the white parts are blue instead.

Variant: Sometimes, the logo is on a white background.

Technique: CGI

Audio: A short triumphant brass fanfare with an elongated and drum-rolled last note. Sometimes, the logo is silent or having the end theme of the TV movie playing over.

Availability: Seen on several TV movies from the era, including Identity Theft of a Cheerlander, Baby Bootcamp and The Rooftop Christmas Tree. Sometimes, the logo plasters over the last logo. Used in tandem with the next two logos.

4th Logo (2020-)

Visuals: Over a cloudy background, the same text from the previous logo fades in one by one, while the lines are drawn into the logo.

Variant: A Christmas version of the logo exists. Here, it pans onto a snowy road, which zooms in, and forms the logo, with the lines drawing and the text already formed.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the last logo.

Availability: The Christmas version was seen on Kite Festival of Love and The Christmas Ring. The normal version was seen on TV movies like The Holiday Sitter. Used in tandem with the next logo.

5th Logo (2022-)

Visuals: Over a black background, the CGI letters "JPG" zoom in and then lines fade in, and the text "JOHNSON PRODUCTION GROUP" folds in letter by letter below the logo. The logo shines.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A gong sound, then a cheerful harp synth theme with drums.

Availability: Can be seen on newer TV movies of the era, like The Most Colorful Time of the Year and Vacation Home Nightmare. Used in tandem with the last two logos.
