Jim Henson Presents

Background

Jim Henson Presents was the international video label for Henson Associates. It was the international counterpart to Muppet Video in the United States (before then, Muppet Video released output in the UK and Australia).

Logo (Mid-Late 1980's)

Visuals: Over a black background, several coloured stripes form in the middle while the bottom features silhouettes of various Muppets sitting in a theater. After the stripes form, "Jim Henson PRESENTS" fades in with an open portion of the line. "Jim Henson" is written in a modified version of his signature, while "PRESENTS" is in a simple, narrow font.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Same as the then-current Muppet Home Video logo.

Availability: Appears on international home video releases of Jim Henson material.

  • Finding a release with its print logo may not always guarantee an appearance.
  • It appears on a few releases from Virgin Video in the UK, such as The Kermit and Piggy Story.
