Background

Japan Studio was a Japanese video game developer based in Tokyo. As a first-party studio for Sony Interactive Entertainment, it was best known for the Ape Escape, LocoRoco, Patapon, Gravity Rush and Knack series, the Team Ico games, Bloodborne, The Legend of Dragoon, and Astro's Playroom. In April 2021, Japan Studio was reorganized and merged with Team Asobi and other SIE studios.

Visuals: On a dark setting, various colored particles of the PlayStation shapes appear shining as the screen zooms forwards, with the four leftovers settling in order which would flash into gray. The words "JAPANStudio" crossfade next to the shapes.

Variant: The logo may be still. The red color may also have a distinct tint.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A pulsating synth note with whooshes and a synth flourish.

Availability: First debuted on Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light, therefore seen on a majority of PS2-PS4 games. Those include Genji: Days of the Blade, LocoRoco, Patapon, Doko Demo Issyo: Let's Go To School, Gravity Rush, Knack, The Eye of Judgement: Legends, TORO! Let's Party!, and others.
