Background

Jaffe-Braunstein Films was a production company that was a rename of Michael Jaffe Films, Ltd. in 1993 when Howard Braunstein, who produced Amy Fisher: My Story joined the company. It went on to be a leading provider of television movies. In 2010, it was renamed to Jaffe-Braunstein Entertainment.

1st Logo (January 9, 1994)

Visuals: On a black background, there is the text "Jaffe Braunstein Films" in a Times New Roman-like font, with each letter of the word appears larger. The word "and" appears above the logo.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: The end theme of the TV movie.

Availability: Only seen on Snowbound: The Jim and Jennifer Sharpe Story.

2nd Logo (February 8-October 30, 1994)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a tilted orange filmstirp. Inside it was the text "J B F L" in spaced-out letters, and below it was a line, and underneath it was the text "JAFFE / BRAUNSTEIN FILMS LTD.".

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: The end theme of the TV movie.

Availability: It was seen on The Babymaker: The Dr. Cecil Jacobson Story and Against Their WIll: Women in Prison.

3rd Logo (November 29, 1994-July 19, 2010)


Visuals: On a black background, there is the teal text "Jaffe/Braunstein," which is either light blue or sea green. There is also the large grey text "films" wipe in with a ripple effect, and sometimes the smaller grey text "Ltd." below "films."

Variants:

  • A still version of the logo exists.
  • On Gilda Ratner: It's Always Something, the logo is paired up with the Winsome Entertainment logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Either the end theme of the TV movie or series or generic network music.

Availability: Seen on TV movies such as South Pacific, as well as on several TV series. First seen on Madonna: Innocence Lost. It last appeared in the television movie The Client List.
