Intercontinental Video Ltd.

Logo (1993-)

Visuals: On a blue/black gradient background, the screen zooms out of a red 3D globe symbol (an oval with latitude and longitude lines), slowly flipping around above red 3D letters IVL that slowly zoom out and turn from the side to the left. Once they're in place, the words "INTERCONTINENTAL VIDEO LTD." fade in below while the same words (smaller and in Chinese) fade in next to the letters IVL.

Variant: Since the 2010s, the logo is in widescreen and enhanced with better CGI. Also, the text is now set in Arial.

Technique: CGI

Audio: A slow, ascending, 3-note synth ditty with wind blowing sounds in the background. Sometimes, the theme is rearranged.

Availability: Can be seen on the company's video releases, like the 1995 Hong Kong pan-and-scan laserdisc of Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.
