Background

Hồ Gươm Audio Video is a company located in Hanoi, Vietnam. Their name comes from the Hoàn Kiếm Lake, mostly shortened to Hồ Gươm, which is ubicated on the company's city.

1st Logo (1990's-2000's)

Visuals: On videos of fireworks shooting in night skies, there is a CGI version of the Turtle Tower (the temple that's on the center of the Hoàn Kiếm Lake) zooming in while spinning. 1 second after it stops zooming, the words "HOGUOM AUDIO VIDEO", in yellow with a blue border, Flying around. That text stops flying for some seconds and zooms to place less closer to the temple and The word "HA NOI", on a green/blue gradient color with yellow borders flying around then it stops flying and place to the text to the bottom.

Technique: Live-action combination with early CGI.

Audio: A calming synth bell theme, which is actually the synth rendition of the Hanoi TV sign-on music.

Availability: Seen on VHS, VCD's and DVD releases made by the company.


2nd Logo (2001-)

Visuals: On videos of fireworks shooting in night skies, there is a CGI version of the Turtle Tower (the temple that's on the center of the Hoàn Kiếm Lake) zooming in while spinning. 1 second after it stops zooming, the words "HOGUOM AUDIO VIDEO", in yellow with a blue border, type in below it while spinning. That text stops spinning for some seconds and zooms to place less closer to the temple. Meanwhile, "HA NOI", on a green/blue gradient color with yellow borders, appears spinning on the temple and then places below "HOGUOM AUDIO VIDEO". A lens flare appears moving from left to right on the bottom of the screen, while the tower "grows".

Technique: Live-action from the same 1st logo combined with CGI.

Audio: A calming bell remix to the Hanoi TV sign-on music.

Availability: Seen on VCD and DVD releases made by the company. This is also used in tandem with the first logo.
