Background

This is the international production division of The History Channel that was formed in 1998. It was later renamed to H2 in 2011, before being replaced by Viceland in 2016.

1st Logo (1998-2001)

Visuals: On a black background, there is the same History logo on a blue box, next to the globe, and on the right is the text "ISTORY CHANNEL INTERNATIONAL". The text "A PRESENTATION OF" spreads out, and the URL appears below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A brass theme.

Availability: Seen on many shows from the era, like Foreign Language Hour.

2nd Logo (2001-2005)

Visuals: Over a blue background, the logo starts with years scrolling past, and blue squares pass by. The text "A PRESENTATION OF" zooms out and then it turns to the History Channel logo from before over a gold circle, and the slogan "THE WORLD BEFORE US" appears.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A majestic theme, ending in a bell.

Availability: Seen on many History International shows from the era.
