Background

Highgate Pictures was a general entertainment sub-division of the Learning Corporation of America, producing TV movies and series.

1st Logo (1977-1985)

Logo: Over the closing credits, we see the small Learning Corporation of America "L" logo above (or near sometimes) the words "Highgate Pictures" which are stacked on top of each other. A byline appears below saying "A DIVISION OF LEARNING CORPORATION OF AMERICA".

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: Only the closing theme was used.

Availability: Can be seen on What If I'm Gay and The Electric Grandmother.


2nd Logo (1985-1987)


Logo: On a black background, we see the small Learning Corporation of America "L" logo in a blue color above the words "Highgate Pictures" which are stacked on top of each other, zooming up to us.

Variant: On the Harem miniseries, the "L" logo is white and it's on a blue background. Under it are the words "in association with".

Technique: Motion-controlled animation normally. Sometimes, the logo is still.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Can be seen on later productions such as Courage and the Harem miniseries.
