Background
Herald Nelson was a joint venture company between Herald Videogram (the home video arm of Nippon Herald) and Nelson Entertainment, which was active until the latter's folding in 1991.
Logo (1987-1991)
Visuals: Over a liquid gold background, multiple letters zoom out and rotate, and subsequently meet at the center forming an interlocked shape. The letters then zoom away towards the screen, and ripples appear on the background before the same letters, now forming "HERALD NELSON" in two lines, rise up from the liquid.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A synth bell fanfare, with a choir at the end.
Availability: It can be seen on the 1988 Japanese VHS release of Ironweed, among others.
