Hem Films

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Logo (Late 1980's-1990s)

Visuals: Over a dark clouds background, the logo starts with blue and green lines appearing, forming the star with the square. As they shine, the colored lines fly away, remaining the blue rectangle with the golden square in split and a golden star inside with the blue words "HEM FILMS" below. The logo shines.

Technique: Traditional animation.

Music Sounds: A synth-bell note with a creepy synth tune followed by a dramatic six note synth-xylophone theme. A held, descending synth note can also be heard along with gust blowing during the theme.

Availability: Many of the films the company released have been revised by other companies. This was only seen in Sweden anyway. However it can be seen on art-house releases starting with Japanese films. However can be found at the beginning of art-house movies after the color bars sequence. You might have to look deep for this either on eBay or at your local thrift store here in America.
