1st Logo (October 16, 1988-March 8, 1989)

Visuals: Inside a steel blue gradient box with a white outline, an outlined stylised sketch of four hawks shooting lasers from their eyes is shown. Starting from the top left, the lasers' colors for each bird, in counterclockwise, are red, green, gold, and blue. The wings from the bottom two hawks are standing on a rectangular white bar containing the company name in a serif font. It also shares the screen with the Whitaker Productions and 1988 BBC Wales logos.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Seen on The Roux Brothers.

2nd Logo (April 10, 1990-February 28, 1992)

Visuals: A version of the previous logo with shading is shown with no box keeping the logo inside. Here, the hawks and the bottom bar are gray, the outlines on the hawks are thicker, and the logo is placed behind a large burst shaped from the logo's shape. Underneath the logo is in-credit information containing the company's name, their co-producer, and the copyright notice.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Seen on The Beer Hunter, which, alongside this logo, has been archived on Screenocean.

3rd Logo (January 3, 1993-May 13, 1995)

Visuals: Set on a dark steel blue gradient background, a black outlined version of the logo from before is shown with no company name and glowing lasers. The top left and bottom right hawk heads are seen turning their heads directly towards the left and right respectively. Surrounding the bottom bar are a flock of birds flying into it, morphing into the letters that make up the company name. All of this is happening while the sequence zooms out and the background crossfades to a white background. When the transition is complete, the glow from the lasers are gone and each of the hawks' eyes are colored to their respective lasers. Underneath the logo is the byline "A Broadcast Communications company" and additional in-credit information below it.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo is still.
  • In some cases, the byline is omitted or detached from the logo where it becomes part of the bottom in-credit information.
  • On Strings, Bows and Bellows and Delia Smith Summer Collection, this logo shares the screen with the 1988 BBC logo.
  • On Sunday Best, the logo is featured within the 1993 GMTV logo. Here, the logo is positioned below the "TV" part of "GMTV" and the text preceding Hawkshead's name is ". Sunday best produced by". Below both text is the company's byline in the same font as the above preceding text.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme or none.

Availability:

  • The animated variant appears on Delia Smith Summer Collection, whoses VHS release has this logo intact.
  • The still version appears on Strings, Bows and Bellows.

4th Logo (January 20, 1995-1996)

Visuals: On a gray gradient wall background with light casted on the bottom left corner of the screen, there is a white outlined version of the pervious logo, with shadows behind the logo, glow emitting from the lasers, the bar containing the company name shifted upwards, and the byline "a Broadcast Communications company" in white. The logo is positioned on the top of the screen while in-credit information and the copyright notice, usually in a serif font, is in the center and bottom sections of the screen.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Can be found on The 3,000 Mile Garden and Britain's Green and Pleasant Land.
