Background

HBO Kids is a company created by HBO Entertainment, intended to make shows for younger viewers. It acquired Sesame Street from PBS since season 46.

1st Logo (January 16-October 29, 2016)

Nicknames: "Colorful HBO", "Rolling Balls"

Logo: In a city, we see many colorful buildings and shapes. Close to the screen, we see blue, green and yellow spheres. They roll and jump through a hole which is revealed to be the letter H. We zoom through and see the blue one still on the roll. It bumps into a square with more shapes, and we see two B's on the sides. We tilt and then the sphere drops through and lands in a green and blue spiral. It splashes as an O gets pulled onto the screen like a magnet. The other letters in HBO KIDS fly in blue.

FX/SFX: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: Sounds corresponding to the effects on screen, accompanied by a cheery tune.

Availability: Rare. Seen on Season 46 of Sesame Street.

Editor's Note: The colorful and playful features are a perfect way to appeal to the target audience.

2nd Logo (January 7, 2017-July 11, 2020)

Nicknames: "Colorful HBO II", "Static HBO Kids", "RainBORE"

Logo:

  • Opening: The text "HBO KIDS" from before appears static like a TV on a white background. Then, a color changing background appears bar by bar, and changes. Then, they disappear.
  • Closing: Same as before, but the colors stay on screen, and it ends with a TV off effect.

FX/SFX: The static and colored bars.

Music/Sounds: Same as the HBO Entertainment logo.

Availability: Rare. Seen on seasons 47 to 50 of Sesame Street.

Editor's Note: The logo's quite boring, and obviously copies the HBO Entertainment logo, aside from the bars.
