1st Logo (1987-1989)


Visuals: On a beige fabric background cut off by a lime border lies the logo, on the right of it has the word "中國", a white beam appears 1 second later, which leads the Chinese text reading "廣州音像出版社" to fly into the screen.

Technique: Live action combined with computer animation.

Audio: A piano soundtrack.

Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]

2nd Logo (1989-2005)





Visuals: In a space background, a phoenix tail zooms out and glides to directions three times after standing still, which they are pointed in three colors: red, blue, and green. After the trail, it explodes. The logo zooms in and out and explodes again, after the explosion, a bronze mold of the Chinese company text appears, the logo stands still until it cuts to black.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A bombastic synth fanfare.

Availability: Seen in multiple karaoke, children's & entertainment VHS tapes and VCDs (after 1996) published by the press.

3rd Logo (1994-1996)

Visuals: On a black galaxy background, the logo in all blue shades (with the middle part being light, thicker, and slightly transparent) does a 360 spin while moving into the center of the screen, the wordmark in gold jumps up from facing up, and then onto the background.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A repeated beep & synth tune, accompanied with 2 synth whooshes.

Availability: Seen only on karaoke VCDs during the years.

4th Logo (2005-)


Visuals: In a bright multi-color galaxy with a sun with warped rays, 3 phoenixes are seen flying, each of which are red, green and blue. The next scene then shows more phoenixes flying towards a bigger sun in front of them. The logo them zooms out whilst making a 360 spin. When it almost gets into still position, the Chinese text wordmark in gold rotates from the left individually by character from left-to-right alignment. All of the elements reflect light when the English company name in gold with a shadow fades in.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A triumphant trumpet & flute fanfare.

Availability: Seen on VCDs and DVDs published by the press.
