Background

Golden Step Ahead was the educational division of Golden Book Video.

(1986-1999)

Logo: On a tan BG, we see a drawing of a girl in a red dress run toward two other children, one male and one female. The three then continue walking and meet up with two other children, one male and one female. Then, the camera zooms out, and one small boy runs toward the other children to catch up with them. They all transform into still images. The stacked words "GOLDEN STEP AHEAD" with "GOLDEN" above "STEP AHEAD" appear above.

Technique: The running of the animated children and the "freezing."

Music/Sounds: A gentle guitar/woodwind tune.

Availability: This is pretty rare. It can be seen on educational videos released by Golden Book Video. The videos were still reissued until as late as 1999.
