Background

Geffen Television was a television production company formed by David Geffen as a division of Geffen Pictures in association with Warner Bros. Television. The record label subsidiary, Geffen Records, which at that time was a division of Warner Bros. Records (now Warner Records and a part of the now-separate Warner Music Group), was later sold to the MCA Music Entertainment group upon Geffen Television's short lifespan. After Beetlejuice, the TV series adaptation of the film of the same name, was cancelled in 1992, Geffen Television eventually dissolved.

Currently, Beetlejuice is owned by Warner Bros. Entertainment, while Geffen Records (also owned by David Geffen) is currently a subsidiary of Interscope Records and its faction, Interscope Geffen A&M, under the Universal Music Group.

Logo (September 8, 1990-December 6, 1991)

Visuals: On a blue/black gradient background, there is the "G" sphere from the Geffen Pictures logo and below it is the following:

THE GEFFEN FILM COMPANY
IN ASSOCIATION WITH
WARNER BROS. TELEVISION

Later Variant: Later in the season, the WB shield appears on the right to join the Geffen logo and the logo now reads "A GEFFEN PICTURES RELEASE", "DISTRIBUTED BY WARNER BROS." and "A TIME WARNER COMPANY", stacked onto each other. Underneath is a copyright stamp. This is all placed on a purple (or blue/dark blue gradient) background.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: It's retained on seasons 2-4 of Beetlejuice on DVD. Was also last seen when Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon re-ran Beetlejuice in the mid-late 1990s.
