GRIN, based in Stockholm, was founded in 1997 by brothers Bo and Ulf Anderson. Following the success of their first titles Ballistics and Bandits: Phoenix Rising, along with their PC versions of the two Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter titles, the company started to expand, opening up studios in Gothenburg and Barcelona, Spain. But following poor sales of their Bionic Commando reboot and the game adaptation of Terminator Salvation, the company declared bankruptcy and closed all studios in August 2009 following Square Enix's withdrawal of payments over the former's planned spinoff of Final Fantasy spin-off, Fortress. The Andersson brothers would later form Overkill Software, also based in Stockholm, who would gain recognition for their Payday titles.

1st Logo (October 19, 2001)

Visuals: On a green background, there is a smiling mouth. Under the smiling mouth is the text "GRIN" in yellow. The logo jitters throughout, and in the end, the logo jitters even more like it's in a damaged VHS tape.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A piano tune, finishing with sounds of applause.

Availability: Only seen on Ballistics.

2nd Logo (October 4, 2002)

Visuals: There is static for a split-second. Then it cuts to the previous logo, only the mouth has some golden teeth, and the text is in the Cooperplate Gothic font, but it's stylized like the previous test. The logo turns black and white, and in the end, it jitters like the previous logo.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Seen on Bandits: Phoenix Rising.

3rd Logo (2006-2009)

Visuals: There is what appears to be a film projector that only lasts for a split-second. Then it cuts to the previous logo, but the entire logo is shaped like a circle on a black background, except for the text (which is in white). The smiling mouth also has some more golden teeth. The logo jitters like an old movie, and does the same jittering thing at the end.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Same as the first logo.

Availability: Appears on the PC version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (and it's sequel), Wanted: Weapons of Fate, Bionic Commando (2009), and Terminator: Salvation. A still variant appears on Bionic Commando: Rearmed.
