From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Logo (June 28, 1989-1994)

Visuals: On a white background, a stylized drawing of a teal bird is shown, resembling the letter "f". Underneath it is "A FULMAR PRODUCTION" alongside additional co-producers underneath.

Variants:

  • An early version has the wings disappear near the bird's body.
  • Sometimes, the text reads "FULMAR TELEVISION AND FILM".

Trivia: The bird in this and all the other logos from the company is likely intended to be a fulmar, a species of seabird.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Seen on the J'Accuse series and the Dispatches documentary "State Of Decay".

2nd Logo (1994-2001)

Visuals: On a black background, the same bird from before is shown but in turquoise and its wings disappearing the closer they are to the bird's body. The text now reads "FULMAR TELEVISION & FILM".

Variants:

  • Programmes produced by the company's western division adds "WEST" next to "FULMAR".
  • Sometimes, the text is to the right of the bird symbol.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Can be seen on the Equinox documentary "For Whom The Road Tolls", the Cutting Edge documentary "Women Drivers", and A Different History of Modernism.

3rd Logo (2001-2009)

Visuals: A flying bird overlaps with a blue box with its lower left section in gray. Underneath reads "Fulmar TELEVISION&FILM".

Variants:

  • On The Taking of Christ, the logo is inside a white box.
  • A "West" variant colors the logo purple rather than blue and "West" replaces "TELEVISION & FILM".

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme.
