Background

Fuji International Productions is the British production arm of Japanese television channel Fuji Television Network. They were active from the late 90's to early 2000's, producing many concert specials including annual ITV and Fuji Rock music festivals. They ceased operations on June 30, 2006.

Logo (September 29, 1995-August 29, 2005)

Visuals: On a black background, a 2D blue man carrying the Fuji eye and standing on a dark blue surface is shown, while the camera pans around him lifting the logo. As the eye is raised, the background changes to a moving blue sky backdrop, followed by the stacked text "FUJI INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTIONS" left-aligned fading in. The logo then freezes afterwards.

Variant: On the pilot to In The Dark With Julian Clary, the man and the eye are positioned on the top centre inside a blurred box. The company's acronym and full name in a serif font appears next to it alongside the Fundamental Entertainment Television and United Film & Television logos on the right and bottom respectively with all three logos appearing within the latter's background.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Many of their releases are hard to find on home media or VOD. This includes Spice Girls: Live in Istanbul and the pilot to In The Dark With Julian Clary.
