What it says, I beileve that people who come here should know a logo cheesy factor, as well as its scare factor like in the clog wiki back in 2010 and up until 2017, vote to bring these three back for every logo

Scare and Cheesy Factors were retired for being way too subjective, as well as being major reasons for our bad reputation in the CLG era. Editor's Note was replaced with Legacy for being too vague and being misused for personal opinions (not to mention that Editor's Note itself was a replacement for the factors).

I'd say it's worked out pretty well, don't you think?

Not really a good idea, since they are all entirely based, and in a way, they can also be abused. See my friend, the database is about logo summaries, how significant it is to the community, etc., and not directly judging logos by their scariness and cheesiness.

I agree with this, Scare Factors, Cheesy Factors and the Editor's Note were all opinionated and biased in a way, in 2002, it was not as opinionated or biased as much, but starting around 2013-2017, all of it seemed to get biased and the opinionated reasons why they are cheesy and scary, they were retired in favor of the editor's note back in late 2017, but that didn't work either since it was still used for opinionated reasoning, and some are even just recycled Scare Factor (or Cheesy Factor) reasoning, Legacy had a reason to exist.

I know the three may have been "fun to see" back in the early days of the wiki, but it has been demonstrated several times that these decisions to remove the Factors have worked wonders for this wiki's reputation. Maybe less so with the Editor's Note because that was a newer removal but even then, we're all better served with these decisions than with the subjectivity. And honestly, in my opinion no logos were ever meant to be scary or cheesy (unless they were a horror logo or something) - they just had to make do with what they had (especially the case with the Southeast Asian logos!), which sometimes wasn't much. They're relics of a time when the wiki was meant as a closed, tight-knit, and otherwise unwelcoming place to newcomers. And for the sites that remain loyal to the Factors...they pretty much vindicate the decision to remove by themselves.

So no, there is definitively zero chance the Factors will ever return, and don't expect the Editor's Note to return either as that was also a compromise that was only made to appease with our past leadership which was thankfully removed. While there may have been "fun" to see with these back in the day, there's much more value into formally explaining these logos with a clear and non-objective view.

And if you're an OG user/lurker who wondered where they went, now you know.

They went south, just like Matthew.
