Whoever drew that image of Jeff for the Mascots RFC, you have won over my affection and you are cool.
Anyhoo, here is a new never before seen AVID mascot concept I have made and spent actual time and effort on. I give you.
TEAM AVID! These siblings/quartet are colored all based on the AVID logo gradiants. Let me introduce you to the characters and their personalities. Aaron (14)- Aaron is the red one and is the oldest of the bunch. Aaron is basically the head honcho of the siblings and is a leader. Aaron has the personality of the average cartoon protagonist. He will act heroic, probably do something stupid, have a touching moment and apologize, and then save the world from something. Aaron is the definition of a main character. Vance (8)- Vance is the gold/yellow guy and is the youngest of the bunch. Aaron is a very kind and friendly soul, as well as extremely dumb and clumsy. Aaron will know when he did something wrong and apologize for it. He is also very emotional towards certain things. He is basically all around a sweet, clumsy kid who has his whole life ahead of him. Sadly, he is not old enough to use AVID, so he watches his siblings edit on it instead. Ivan(13)- Ivan is a teenage boy who is the green guy. He is basically the dictionary definition of an emo silent type kid. He constantly watches anime (Ninja anime preferred), acts like a Ninja, and says his dream is to move to Japan. He always has that "Whatever" move but deep down he cares a lot for his siblings and will do anything to keep them out of harm's way. Darren(Also 13)- Darren is last and he is the blue guy. You know the "Why do woman only like jerks" meme template? Well, that's his role model. He is a pretty "jerk" guy who mostly spends his time pushing nerds into lockers and also getting cash (and flexing it). He cares about his siblings and will also protect them. He is a jerk, but he is also a good man. With enough help, we could turn these siblings into a good pair of the wiki's mascots alongside Ace, Vivi, and ma boi Jeff. A good way to start is a character redraw, as mine looks.....eh. TLDR: Please help me turn these siblings into a good contender for a pair of wiki mascots. I provided the character names and personalities above. |

Hey Charlie. I'm sorry dude but we're not gonna vote for these guys. We already have three great mascots, each with their own unique flair (one that you already made famous) and copying and pasting four stick figures is not gonna work out for us.
oh yeah and seven mascots is way too many. keep it at three please. To quote the guy who drew the above image Holy Shit!!! Yes! This is what we need, a bunch of nobodies with personalities so bogged in and borderline cliche, you'd wonder why you'd bother going with a trio of a triangle creature, cute girl, and a funny frog! (he is being sarcastic lmao) |

Yeah, Kris, Nancer, and Charlie's trio are the most interesting and best-developed of the lot. The trio of a triangle man, an adorable girl, and a comic relief frog are way more appealing to me than four copy-pasted stick figures or an AVID logo with a face and limbs. Think of it as a Wikipe-tan like situation. Wikipedia have a mascot too, an anime girl at that, with two sisters. On special occasions, Wikipedia uses these mascots for promotion as an open representation of themselves. The AVID Heroes, as we decided to call them, are of a similar approach. Plus, this is what the community strives for: a fun way to represent itself. |

But that's kinda like saying the Lost Media Wiki doesn't need a mascot because it's just a wiki about lost media. Of course it ain't a big corporation, and we are a group of individuals that like logos, but we are a group that also likes to have fun. Let us do that, thank you. |

WTFProductions, that's not how character design works. You come up with it yourself rather than rely on other people to be your own personal workhorses. Also "do it yourself" comes across as unnecessarily rude. |

Make one for me Charlie at least took the time to lay out designs and personalities for Team AVID, for the record, and Chiagozie at least made a design too. No offense, but being rude and telling others to design your submissions themselves (which means you wouldn't actually be the creator for a significant part of it) won't get you anywhere. |
