Background

Fortis Productions (also known as Fortis Films) was founded in 1995 (and incorporated on April 16, 1996) in California, U.S. by American actress and producer Sandra Bullock. From 1995 to 2000, Bullock's sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, was president of the company. The company is headquartered in Austin, Texas and West Hollywood, California. In October 1997, the company signed a three year first-look deal with Warner Bros. Pictures from 1997 to 2000, which was later renewed in 1999 and 2003.

Logo (March 27, 2002-May 8, 2007)

Visuals: On a black background, some lights appear and fade. Letters zoom out and form the text "FORTIS PRODUCTIONS" in a font which looks almost similar to the Artisan Entertainment logo.

Variant: On the George Lopez episode "She Drives Me Crazy", the logo stays on screen for an extra second. This is followed by the extended Mohawk Productions logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A weird "shining" sound or none.

Availability: Seen on George Lopez and the unaired pilot of Sudbury.
