Background

Fond Kino is the theatrical name for the Federal fund of social and economic support of national cinematography. The fund invests and helps to produce full-scale Russian movies. They had no logo until 2012.

1st Logo (April 2012-December 2013)

Visuals: Over a light-flooded background, the logo starts with hundreds of floating covers for films produced by the fund. They zooms out and form the purple word "КИНО", which turns into "ФОНД". The two words place themselves at the right side of a rotating shield with "ФК" carved in it.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A coarse sounds of the zooming and words turning.

Availability: Seen on the films from the time frame.

2nd Logo (January 2014-)

Visuals: On a black or white background, there is a purple shield with the letters "ФК" carved on it, slowly panning. Then the revolving shield is seen at some distance while the letters of the name fly and take their positions. The already complete logo pans several times around the screen before slightly zooming back and shining.

Variants: Apart from a black or white background, there are more color variants:

  • A silvery logo on a black background, with faint purple tint.
  • A silvery logo on a black background, slightly zoomed back, with a bluish aurora glow behind. A notable film that contains this logo is Leviathan (2014), and Guardians (the next logo is seen on international prints).
  • A still print version was in use as well.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An orchestral fanfare.

Availability: Seen on their newer films such as Fantastic Return To Oz. The logo and its variants can also be seen on their website.

3rd Logo (February 23, 2017-)

Visuals: On a black background with a distant light, a tilted view of the outlined, metallic letters "CF" and "CINEMA FUND" are drawn by a light as the camera centers pans to a comfortable distance. The text "CINEMA FUND" is then filled in silver, and a box then fills around the "CF" with the exception of said text. "RUSSIA" then wipes in by a light under "FUND", and wipes out before the logo fades out.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A piano sounder accompanied by whooshes and twinkling. It is a production music.

Availability: First seen on international prints of Guardians and may be seen on international prints of Russian films. Used in tandem with the previous logo.
