Logo (1987-1988)

Visuals: On a red-dark yellow gradient background with a yellow circle in the center, representing a sunrise, with a black-magenta tinted ocean surface below it, a diagonal shape fades in the top-left corner. It then rotates and zooms out to reveal the following texts:

FLORIDA
PUBLIC
TeLeVISION

with "FLORID", "UB" and "VISI" connected together, with the background sliding out underneath to reveal a space background. Once the texts has settled from the distance, green lights are being cast out of it, turning it into metallic green. The lights also form two scrolling green grids from both above and below. A green sparkle then appears from the edge of the "L" of "FLORIDA".

Variant: Two short versions exist, used as a closing logo. One has it start at the green lights, and other that starts with the texts zooming out.

Technique: Scanimation.

Audio: A rising synth note being held out, with synth glissandos playing over it. The closing version in Rebels of the Bar has it muted.

Availability: Can be seen on Rebels of the Bar and Radon - Old as the Earth.
