Background

This is the television arm of Flavor Unit Entertainment, owned by Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere.

1st Logo (September 13, 1999-August 31, 2001)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a blue stand with a TV on top, with static in the screen. Above it is "flavor unit". A cartoon version of Queen and Shakim, wearing red and yellow sweaters respectively, are seen running before Queen holds and pulls the remote, then turns on the TV as the static goes yellow with "f TV" seen on it as they watch. The back of the two reads "LA" and "SHA" respectively.

Technique: Cartoon animation.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on The Queen Latifah Show (1999).

2nd Logo (November 20, 2003-)

Visuals: On a light blue background, there is the logo from before, except that the text is in black, the letter "f" is in white instead of red, and Shakim wears a light blue sweater. The logo is also still as the two pull the remote.

Variants:

  • A white background version exists.
  • A grayscale version exists.
  • It sometimes shares the screen with other logos.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None or the end theme of the show. UPN and CBS used their generic themes.

Availability: It was first seen on the 2003 Vibe Awards, and other shows such as Let's Stay Together, Single Ladies, Steel Magnolias, The Next: Fame is at Your Doorstep, The Queen Latifah Show (2013), season 3 of Scream: The TV Series, and The Equalizer (2021).
