Background

Fantasy Productions was a German publishing company specializing in role-playing based media. They are based in Erkrath and founded in 1983 by Werner Fuchs, Ulrich Kiesow and Hans-Joachim Alpers. The company mainly produced novels throughout their lifetime, though there was a point in the 90's where they developed a few games.

1st Logo (April 1992)

Visuals: A white-dark red horizontal gradient ball contains a spark with long edges, the right-most of which extends the furthest. It divdes the white, stacked, and left-aligned text "FANTASY PRODUCTIONS". This logo contains no animation.

Technique: Computerized graphics.

Audio: None.

Availability: It was only seen on Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny.

2nd Logo (September 1994)

Visuals: Inside a thin red horizontal rectangular border is the spark from before in yellow behind the large 3D text "FANRPO". The text "in coproduction with" in a Gothic font appears above the logo. This logo has no animation.

Technique: Computerized graphics.

Audio: None.

Availability: The logo only appeared on Realms of Arkania: Star Trail.

3rd Logo (December 1996-February 4?, 1998)

Visuals: Set on a space background with a brown planet and the Sun slowly passing by on the top right and bottom left sections of the screen respectively is a horizontal metal box containing "FANPRO" on one side. In the middle of the sequence, a meteor flies in from the left and hits the box before the side containing the company name could face the screen. The meteor creates a light that colorizes the box, matching it with the logo from before. Afterwards, "PRESENTS"' in white and a stretched format fades in below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The audio sequence starts with a deep bass note before a rising, proud synthesized horn fanfare plays, ending it off with a set of drums and a cymbal crash.

Availability: This logo appeared on Realms of Arkania III: Shadows over Riva and Perry Rhodan: Operation Eastside.
