Entertain The Brutes

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Background

This is the vanity plate of Scott St. John.

1st Logo (October 2, 2000-September 23, 2005)

Visuals: Essentially just these words on a black background:

ENTERTAIN
THE BRUTES

Technique: A still digital text graphic.

Audio: The end theme of Street Smarts.

Availability: Seen on the 2000-2005 game show Street Smarts.

2nd Logo (December 19, 2005-2010, January 17, 2014-July 28, 2021)

Visuals: On a black background is a drawing of a hand, surrounded by orange fuzz (presumably ochre). At the bottom are the words:

Entertain
the Brutes

Variant: Later in its life, the words slide on each side of the screen, both meeting at the center. The hand slams itself on screen, causing the whole screen to shake and the words to go to their usual position like the normal logo. "Entertain" moves to the left but still close by "the Brutes" after the hand slams on the screen.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The end theme of the show, the variant adds in a "SLAM" noise with the end theme.

Availability: The normal logo can be seen on the American version of Deal or No Deal. The variant can be seen on the aforementioned show on Disney Channel in the US. This can also be seen on Celebrity Name Game, Monopoly Millionaires' Club, and Match Game (2016) among others. Buzzr repeats of Celebrity Name Game replace this and all other original logos with the animated 2002-18 FremantleMedia logo.
