Background

Dreamchaser is a production company founded by Ned O'Hanlon in 1990.

1st logo (April 26, 1997-November 5, 2002)


Visuals: This animated logo begins with a machine coming down from the left side of the screen and going across to spell the word dreamchaser. With each letter placed there is a flash of light coming from the machine. After the letter r is placed, the machine exits the screen to the right.

Variant: On the UK version of U2: A Year in Pop, this logo shares the screen with the 1988 BBC logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Various factory sounds including a train whistle, film reel, and machinery noises.

Audio Variant: On The Cranberries: Beneath the Skin Live in Paris, the sounds are high-pitched.

Availability: This was only seen on U2: PopMart Live from Mexico City, The Cranberries: Beneath the Skin Live in Paris, and U2: Elevation 2001 Live from Boston.

  • This is also seen on U2: The Best of 1990-2000.
  • The version with the 1988 BBC logo was seen on the UK version of U2: A Year in Pop.

2nd Logo (November 13, 2000)

Visuals: On a grayish screen, there is a gray lowercase "D", with a gray "C" (resembling a copyright symbol) next to it. Under them is a red line. Below the logo, is text that reads:

Audio: None.

Availability: It was only seen on Oasis: Familiar to Millions.
