Background

TV9 is a Malaysian TV channel owned by the Media Prima conglomerate. It was launched on April 22, 2006.

1st ID (April 22, 2006-2008)

Visuals: Against a blue background, multiple plants with a white border in orange, brown, and red grow. The flowers then open as the TV9 logo (a giant, lime 9 with the hole being replaced with tv) rises from them as a light goes through it. The logo then does a full rotation as the camera pans up from the plants. "Dekat di Hati" (Close to the heart) then fades in below as the logo shines and multiple lights pass through it before fading.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A tune played with a gamelan and a kompang, with a group of children singing "TV9, Dekat di Hati". At the end, you can hear a faint xylophone note.

2nd ID (2008-April? 2009)

Visuals: Against a lime gradient background, the camera zooms out from multiple outlined circles and bullseye-lookalike shapes as the camera rotates counterclockwise. A group of thin curvy lines in white and yellow form in the background, along with thicker, differently-colored ones. The print version of the TV9 logo from before with the slogan under it fades in at the right of the screen and rises until it's near the top right of the screen. A firework effect appears on the logo as the curvy lines move past the screen.

Variants:

  • 2nd Anniversary Variant: Instead of the logo and the slogan fading in, a white glowing rectangle flies in from the right of the screen and forms a "2" with the logo in it, and the cursive text "tahun" in black next to the bottom of it. Another white rectangle flips in under the numeral, along with a black one with "Dekat di hatiku" in white and in cursive on it, flipping over the white rectangle. The numeral along with the rectangles under it flip into the logo itself in green with the slogan from before under it, emitting light. A firework effect then appears behind the logo.
  • Merdeka 51:

Technique: Computer animation and CGI.

Audio: A guitar tune with a woman singing "Dekat di Hatiku" two times.

Audio Variant: On the 2nd Anniversary variant, more notes of the guitar tune are heard at the beginning.

3rd ID (April?-December 31, 2009)

Visuals: The sequence starts with an image of multiple people sitting in a sandy field looking at a board displaying some spaceships flying past some buildings. As we slowly zoom from the image, the texts "Kembara (Travel)", which is at the top left, and "Suka & Duka (Ups and Downs)", which is at the bottom right, fade in and zoom in briefly, along with "Riang & Tangisan (Happy & Sad)", which zooms away from us, as multiple violet rectangles fade in around the screen and move to the bottom left of the screen. The texts then fade away, and the TV9 logo from before (with part of it cut off) fades in on the squares. The lowercase letters, "t", "i", and "a" fade in behind the logo and move to spell "tiga", as the stacked texts "tahun" and "di hatiku" fade in below the "a".

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A twelve-note bombastic orchestral fanfare.

4th ID (January 1, 2010-April 21, 2011)

Visuals: The sequence starts off with a person in an Upin costume lifiting his head towards the screen. Beside him is a person in an Ipin costume, who points at the screen. Both of them begin running towards the screen, before it zooms out to feature a girl singing with a microphone and a boy playing a guitar in a cloudy environment with rotating and rising white musical notes. A light then flashes into a field where two boys run to sit with three girls next to an orange tent, with a rainbow and several flowers in the background. One of the girls open a red gift box, while the others react. A butterfly flies by, before the scene fades to a vision of a boy seeing a red book with a yellow rounded rectangle with the ADiK di 9 logo (with the "9" having black spots, the dot of the "i" being white, and the "di" being above the "9") on it. The boy is revealed to be in a library, as he opens the book to unveil a rainbow, two orange balls bouncing away, the Wonder Pets in their Flyboat, Jimmy Neutron on his scooter, SpongeBob SquarePants jumping for joy, CatDog, multiple differently-textured letters and numbers, and a lollipop. The tip of the lollipop faces the screen and transitions to a scene where a man shows off his top hat in front of a stage and puts it on his head. He waves his magic hand to form a vampire in a spooky environment with bats fying around, before transitioning to a woman taking off her sunglasses on a stage with a red carpet. A clapperboard is then shown for a brief time, as another woman moves her curtain to a scene where the furniture of a kitchen form as a woman drinks tea on her table, before an orb with a vision of a man in a dark environment moves towards the screen as it passes from two men and a woman smiling at the camera. A light moves around the orb, transitioning the scene to a man filming a woman for a news report, with famous landmarks in the background, including the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Giza Pyramid complex, the Eiffel Tower, and the Taj Mahal. As the camera pans rightwards, some streaks spawn and fly in the background, before the screen flashes to show another woman smiling at the screen with a spinning model of a globe left from her. The camera zooms out slightly to reveal some bulidings of Kuala Lumpur (including the Petronas Towers) in the background and pans leftwards, passing by a man, a woman in orange clothing, a model of the TV9 logo from before in a silver texture with "berita" next to it and another man in a black shirt, as the globe flies rightwards as well. A sky blue cloth wipes off the screen as four women in different clothing show up and pink petals fly in from the bottom of the screen. The scene cuts to show the four women walking towards the screen as some purple streaks appear at the right side of the screen. The petals slightly zoom towards the screen and fade, and the screen turns pale and shrinks to reveal a man, who slides the picture off to the right side of the screen. He then grabs another picture from the left side of the screen, with the picture featuring the Galaksi logo from the time (with part of the "G" extended to resemble an orbit with a planet in it) on a reddish space background with equalizer bars at the bottom of the picture. The picture then cuts to show the last few seconds of the intro sequence of Chopp!! from the time. The picture then fades and zooms back in to show a woman in a purple shirt facing towards some speakers with several lighting bolts and white lights flying around the scenario. The woman then turns towards the screen with a smile. The scene cuts to another view of the scenario where another woman in a blue shirt also turns towards the screen with a smile. The scene then cuts to show off the full scenario with three speakers in the background with one of them being bigger. In front of the ladies are multiple animated equalizer bars colored blue to yellow ranging from their bottom to their top. The two women turn towards each other not long before a disco ball flies in from the right side of the screen to show off a woman sitting on a red wheelchair with two other disco balls revolving around her inside a rotating spherical room with its walls resembling the surface of a disco ball. As the woman rotates her wheelchair, she points towards the screen with her right hand. She then does a full rotation of her wheelchair before raising her arms up in joy. The scene then zooms out through the "tv" portion of the TV9 logo from before with textures of a disco ball being surrounded by magenta light. As the logo zooms out to the center of the screen, several yellow, lime, magenta and blue bubbles fly around it as it rotates. Multiple ribbons of the some color of the bubbles fly out of the logo and fly around the background before leaving the screen, while multiple detailed stars with interior lines in the aforementioned colors and in a 3D-like artstyle pop out of the logo. As the logo rotates, its texture changes into a simple rainbow spectrum, then into a white texture with multiple large circles ranging from red to magenta on it, and finally into its gradient lime green texture. The stars pop back into the logo as the bubbles fly to the top of the screen, three fireworks appear around the logo, and the logo settles while showing a bit of its right side. "di hatiku" then fades in under the logo, which shines not long after.

Multiple white outlined circles form in the background, before deforming, and salmon, turquoise, and beige circles fly around and leave the screen. A lime streak forms under the numeral, which turns from white to dark blue. White, lime, and dark blue streaks form on the numeral, turning the numeral lime with a white outline, as the text "Strim Live HD" with the Tonton logo from the time next to it, a lime line, the text "Astro 149", another lime line, and the MyFreeview logo with "109" next to it appear on the streak one by one respectively from left to right.
