Background

Sprite is a clear, lemon and lime-flavored soft drink created by the Coca-Cola Company. Sprite comes in multiple flavors, including cranberry, cherry, grape, orange, tropical, ginger, and vanilla. Ice, peach, Berryclear remix, and newer versions of the drinks are artificially sweetened. Sprite was created to compete primarily against 7 Up.

1st Logo (1980-1981)

Visuals: On a white background with a hand holding a glass bottle of sprite with the text "When you're reachin' for more" .

Variants:

  • On Philippine commercials, the text used "When you're reaching for more!".
  • On Californian commercials, the ice and can of sprite with a plastic bottle of sprite andthe text used "Introducing Sprite. Reach for it".

2nd Logo (1981-1982)

Visuals: On a sports scence, there is a sprite logo.

Technique: The logo is faded in.

3rd Logo (1984-1985)

Visuals: There is a man drinking a can of sprite with the text "ONLY SPRITE".

Variants:

  • On some commercials, the text used "THE WINNING TASTE OF SPRITE" instead of "ONLY SPRITE".

Technique: The text is faded in.

Audio: A choir singing "It's only Sprite for you!".

Availability: Seen on American commercials from around that time.

4th Logo (1987-1994)

Visuals: The people is pointing at you while holding a can of Sprite with text "I LIKE THE SPRITE IN YOU."

Variants:

  • On christmas commercial featuring Santa Claus, the text is green.

Technique: The text is faded in.

Audio: The jingle theme of Sprite and then singing "I like the Sprite in you!".

Availability: Seen on commercials from around that time.

5th Logo (1994-1997)

Visuals: On a black background with the text "IMAGINE IS NOTHING" in white text, but it changed to "THIRST IS EVERYTHING", but it turned again to "OBEY YOUR THIRST" and then slowly spins a glass of Sprite and then changed to a can of sprite until at the front.

Technique: 2D animation.

Availability: Seen on commercials from around that time.

5th Logo (1995-2001)

Visuals: On a black background with the text "IMAGINE IS NOTHING" in white text, but it changed to "THIRST IS EVERYTHING", but it turned again to "OBEY YOUR THIRST" and then slowly spins a bottle of sprite until at the front.

Variants:

  • On some commercials, the disclaimer isn't appeared.
