Background

Domark was a UK-based video game company, founded by Dominic Wheatley and Mark Strachan and released their first game in 1984. Their first logo (connected D-M) was only used off-screen and can't be found in games. In 1995, Eidos Video Technologies bought Domark and merged it into its operations (along with Simis Group and Big Red Games, thus forming Eidos Interactive). The name was abandoned the following year.

1st Logo (August 1990-1996)

Visuals: The logo is a rectangle with "DOMARK" written inside, and the "O" is very big, overlapping the box. The color is usually golden. Sometimes, the box background can be blue.

Variants:

  • On several sports games for Amiga, the words "Champions of Sport" are written below.
  • On Pit Fighter, the logo is copper-colored with a colorless box background.
  • On Kawasaki Superbike Challenge, the logo is orange with a blue box background.
  • On Lords of Midnight, it's the same, but thinner.
  • On Prince of Persia for the Sega Genesis and Theme Park for Sega CD, the box is gold with a blue background and the name casts a shadow on the box.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: It showed up on a variety of Domark's games at the time.
