Delirium Films

Background

Delirium Films is a Serbian film studio that was founded in 2003 in Belgrade, Serbia by director and scriptwriter Srdjan Dragojević and producer Biljana Prvanović.

1st Logo (February 25, 2005-)

Visuals: There is animated greyscale footage of a sun with a creepy humanlike face and a light blue ring (some of the only color in the logo) rising behind snowcapped mountains, dead trees surrounding them. We then see a shot of many flying disembodied eyes in front of the dead trees, which open and look at the sun offscreen. The sun then makes a disturbing face as it sticks its extremely long tongue out. Its tongue moves like waves through the dead trees, and we get a shot of someone in high heels walking on the tongue. After another shot of the disembodied eyes, it is revealed that the legs and heels belong to a cloud with human legs. It is shown walking on the tongue with two other clouds with legs, as the disembodied eyes appear shocked and fly away. The sun is shown with one of the clouds in its mouth, seemingly eating it as its legs flail. To a backdrop of the dead trees, the sketchy white text "DeLiRium films" glitches in. We then see a final shot of the eaten cloud's heels falling to the striped ground. The logo abruptly cuts to black.

Technique: An old film effect, alongside a combination of CGI and live action. This is done by Reverie Productions.

Audio: A creepy ambient soundtrack with childlike voices singing, snarls from the sun, the cloud's scream, a crunch, the heels falling to the ground, and a light switch turning off.

Audio Variants:

There is an "instrumental" version of the music, which omits the singing and the sun snarling.
On We Are Not Angels 2, a strange but whimsical tune played by a variety of instruments are heard, ending with a deep bang.
In the later variant, instead of the light switch turning off, the audio just fades away.

Availability: Can be seen on their films. Surprisingly, considering the subject matter, most are not horror films. It also appears as the background of their website.

2nd Logo (November 16, 2011)

Visuals: There is a rectangular sketch resembling the hands of God and Adam portion of "The Creation of Adam" painting. Inside, the left hand is pointing and the other has three fingers raised. Underneath the drawing is the text "DELIRIUM FILMS (YEAR)".

Trivia: This is actually a close-up of the poster for Parada (The Parade), which is the movie that has the logo. In the movie poster Adam's hand had a middle finger, and that also appears in the logo but is very hard to see.

Variant: An alternate version of the logo has the drawing, in black and white and with no background, flipping in. This is then followed by "DELIRIUM FILMS" and "PREDSTAVLJA" fading in.

Technique: Flipping effects. Otherwise, a still, digital graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the movie.

Availability: Seen at the end of Parada (The Parade); the beginning of the film uses the 1st logo. The variant appears at the beginning of its making-of documentary.

3rd Logo (October 29, 2013?, 2015)

Visuals: A cat head is wearing magenta glasses while four trails of liquid drip underneath. The head is also contained within a circular swirl, which leads to "Delirium Films" in a sketchy cursive font.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the movie.

Availability: Seen during the credits of Atomski Zdesna (Holidays In The Sun; in a similar case to the 2nd logo on Parada the 1st logo is used for the beginning instead) and the failed pilot for Mamurluci (The Hangovers).

4th Logo (2021)

Visuals: Just the text "Delirium Films" in the same style as before.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The opening theme of the trailer.

Availability: Seen on the trailer for Kljun (Awake).
