Background

Deep Silver is a publishing label of German-Austrian game company Koch Media created in 2002. Its parent company was acquired by THQ Nordic in February 2018.

1st Logo (May 2, 2003-April 8, 2011)

Logo: We see a beaming blue light, and multiple letters fly beyond to form the name "DEEP SILVER". Before they complete, a dark form appears over the light source, whirls and becomes silver, showing a triskelion (a three-end solstice figure) with a light 3D effect. The name below is also silver, and the "E" letters miss their middle vertical parts.

Variant: There is a different animated version where the logo blasts the screen.

FX/SFX: The logo forming.

Music/Sounds: A mild whoosh.

Availability: Common.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (September 6, 2011-)

Logo: We see a big silvery crystal breaking off and revealing the triskelion logo inside, taken into a box. There, the triskelion figure is white on a black square, and the name in two lines is situated below.

Variants:

  • On The Dark Eye, the logo is panning over a sepia-paper background.
  • The logo can be color-reversed.
  • Before 2013, it was still or zooming only.

FX/SFX: The animation of the breaking crystal. The zooming in for early variants.

Music/Sounds: Sounds of crushing and a short low-pitched beeping tone.

Availability: Current. Appeared on Risen 2, Dead Island, and Summer Stars 2012 (still) for Wii. The sepia version was seen on The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav.

Editor's Note: None.
