Background

Dak Lee Moving Picture Co. was a company founded by producer Ho Man-keung.

1st Logo (1970's-1988?)

Visuals: There is a blue marble background with a golden "DL" and the text "FILM CO." seen next to it. The camera suddenly zooms in to the logo. The Chinese name, also in yellow-gold, fades in below.

Variant: Later 1986 releases would replace a golden Chinese text with a white Chinese plain text than the 1970s logo. Also, the film quality is a deteriorated variant, which is red tinted.

Technique: Motion-controlled animation.

Audio: A drumroll segued by a loud triumphant fanfare. Sometimes, the full fanfare from the South Sea Film Co. logo is heard ("Olympic Spirit" by Paul Kuehmstedt).

Availability: It was seen on Huang pu tan tou and The Legend of Mother Goddess, among others. The 1986 variant only appeared on Last Train To Pei-Tou.

2nd Logo (March 3, 2001)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a white filmstrip with "DL" and a Chinese text on the top of "DL". There is the English text saying "DAK LEE FILM COMPANY PRESENTS" below the logo.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: The opening theme.

Availability: Appeared on Spy Gear.
