Background

Crypton Future Media (クリプトン・フューチャー・メディア株式会社, Kuriputon Fyūchā Media Kabushiki gaisha) is a Japanese media company based in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Founded in July 1995, they mainly dealt with imports of various CDs and music. However, they're most famous for their line of VOCALOID voicebanks, mainly Hatsune Miku, which helped cemented them as a innovator in the music industry. Their products are now instead affiliated with their own technology instead, the Piapro Studio. They have teamed up with Sega to help create the Project DIVA and Project Mirai series of games as well, starring the avatars their voices represent.

1st Logo (February 17, 2006-)

Visuals: Over a white background is the italicized black text "CRYPTON". All the letters have sharp points on them, but the Y is larger and in white, mostly encasing the letter. Below "PTO" is the text "FUTURE MEDIA, INC." in a different font, along with a thin grey line dividing them.

Variant: The logo is shown alongside the Sega logo depending on the game.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: Either none or the audio from the Sega logo.

Availability: Can be seen on all of the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva and Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai series of games.

2nd Logo (2010s-)

Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with the Crypton logo as described above. A set of white soundwaves waver around, with the top half of the phrase "「音」で発想するチーム。" (A team that thinks with sound.) displayed on one of the lines. The wave then combines into a single line and fades out, leaving the phrase with the bottom half attached. The same thing happens again, but with the company logo.

Variant: One instance had a larger logo and colors inverted. The company name in full can also be seen on the bottom of the screen.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A echoing water droplet sound; none for the variant.

Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]
