Background

Cinematográfica Victoria was an Argentine film production company distributor founded around 1969, and was once the most important Argentine film producer of the 1980s, known to produce films with light humor and low-intensity eroticism. Pimienta y pimentó on 1970, followed by Balada para un mochilero on 1971, and Mi amigo Luis on 1972. The company allegedly declared bankruptcy during the 1990s with its last film being Enfermero de día, camarero de noche (1990). It is unknown if the company still exists.

Visuals: The screen pans up from a rocky planet and see a space background with another planet seen from far away. The camera stops. The stacked logotype consisting of "Cinematografica" in script and the bent "VICTORIA" appears from an iris transition and zooms to the screen.

Technique: Practical effects.

Audio: The known portion of Sunrise from "Also sprach Zarathustra" by Richard Strauss.

Availability: This was seen on their films during the 1970's, such as Los drogadictos, Sucedió en el fantástico circo Tihany, Diablito de barrio, Mingo y Anibal, dos pelotazos en contra, and Las barras bravas. Their earlier films use an in-credit notice.
