Background

CVTV is the video production label of the Film & TV program at Canyon View High School.

1st Logo (August 26, 2019-March 6, 2020)

Visuals: On a black background, a partial, thinly bordered white box is drawn from left to right while "CVTV E100 STUDIOS", both in tall fonts, slide out of an invisible and central, horizontal line. A few seconds later, the same transitions are applied to the objects, removing them from the screen.

Variant: On the morning announcements, the ending shot crossfades to the logo sequence.

Technique: iMovie text transition effects.

Audio: A loud, ominous and reverbed, ambient crashing sound effect.

Audio Variant: On the morning announcements, a descending, howling whoosh is heard.

Availability: The logo appears on morning announcement and Weekly Show videos during the 2019-20 school year.

2nd Logo (May 4, 2020-)

Visuals: On a white background, a reflective dark blue TV containing a white clawed beast paw print fades in and slides to the right to the center of the screen alongside "CVTV" underneath with its reflection shown underneath. Before stopping, "CVTV MEDIA" fade in and marginally zoom out on the lower section of the screen. After both elements slowly zoom out, they both fade out, in addition to the full name sliding upwards and the logo sliding rightwards.

Variants:

  • There is a version without the full name.
  • An early variant exists where the logo is replaced with the Canyon View High School emblem.

Technique: Sliding and fading effects using iMovie.

Audio: A high pitched, whirring sound effect, followed by a harsh and quick woodwind blow.

Audio Variants:

  • In the early variant, a whoosh sound effect is used.
  • On the "2020 Virtual Open House" video, a descending set of whooshes are heard.

Availability: The logo's overall debut is on "Teacher Appreciation - 2020", which is also the only video to use the early visuals. The standard version debuted on the "2020 Virtual Open House" video and appears on morning announcement and Weekly Show videos since.
