Background

Bent Outta Shape Productions is a production company by African-American producer, Bentley Kyle Evans, best known for producing The Jamie Foxx Show on The WB Television Network.

1st Logo (August 28, 1996-May 17, 1998)

Visuals: In front of a sky that reflects on a hard reflective surface are two palm trees planted in the reflection. Between the two palm trees is a hammock, on which lies an animated version of Bentley Kyle Evans with short, dark hair and a dark mustache wearing a yellow long-sleeved shirt, dark blue shorts, and white sneakers. The string of the hammock has the phrase "BENT OUTTA SHAPE" on it in the Balloon Extra Bold font curved underneath the hammock. The word "PRODUCTIONS" is below the hammock in a thick blocky font, which reflects on the surface like the sky does. Evans turns to the viewer(s) and winks his eye, while a coconut falls from the tree on the right side of the screen.

Technique: A mix of 2D animation (for Bentley Kyle) and CGI (for everything else).

Audio: A man with a deep, electronically-enhanced voice says "Bent Dogg!" with the sound of a coconut falling to the ground.

Audio Variant: On syndicated prints of The Jamie Foxx Show, Jamie Foxx's closing jingle, "Electrifying (Baby, That's Real)" plays in the background throughout the entire four-way logo combo.

Availability: Seen on seasons 1-2 of The Jamie Foxx Show.

2nd Logo (September 17, 1998-January 14, 2001)

Visuals: A different version of the logo appears with very noticeable differences:

  • "BENT OUTTA SHAPE" and "PRODUCTIONS" is in yellow in a 2D like style.
  • The background is in a tropical beach with the water behind Evans with a shark's fin sticking out
  • The trees are a tropical tree (the coconut still falls from the tree to the right).
  • A bottle with a dollar is seen at the left.
  • Evans is more cartoon-ish and in both a light tan shirt and pants and with sandals.

Technique: A mix of 2D animation and CGI.

Audio: A robotic (vocoded) male vocalist sings the words "Bent Dogg!" with the sound of a coconut falling to the ground.

Audio Variants:

  • On later episodes of The Jamie Foxx Show, a electric guitar tune is played before it cuts to the Foxx Hole Productions logo.
  • On syndicated prints of The Jamie Foxx Show, "Electrifying (Baby, That's Real)" plays in the background throughout the entire four-way logo combo.

Availability: Seen on seasons 3-5 of The Jamie Foxx Show.

3rd Logo (January 19, 2010-)

Visuals: On a white background with transparent filmstrips is Bentley Kyle Evans waving his hands to the left to reveal the gold words:

BENT OUTTA SHAPE
P R O D U C T I O N S , I N C

with the stylized gold "B" to the left of it. Evans winks his one eye to the viewers, and the background then changes to black as yellow stars are falling before they disappear.

Variant: A short version exists.

Technique: Live-action and CGI.

Audio: A sparkle sound effect.

Availability: First seen on Love That Girl! on TV One. Also seen on Family Time, In the Cut, and My Crazy Roommate. All three of these are on Bounce TV.
