Background

BLU Products (stylized as BLÜ) is an American company headquartered in Doral, Florida. Founded by Samuel Ohev-Zion on August 4, 2009, BLU was among the first Latin-owned mobile phone companies aimed at a Latin American population. BLU rebrands budget mobile phones manufactured by Chinese manufacturers such as Koobee, QiKU, Gionee, Doogee and Tinno Mobile.

Screen (2010-2014)

Visuals: On a black background, a blue light appears from the left moving to a circle, while the white text "BLÜ" zooms out. The light gets brighter once it reaches the right side, where two circle shapes, one being an outline and the other a larger dot inside of it, are revealed briefly. The light then disappears, leaving the logo.

Technique: CGI. This screen runs at 4 frames per second.

Audio: A 4-note synth bell theme, ending with a low-end synth note.

Availability: Seen on feature phones manufactured by BLU, which are mostly available in Latin America and the United States. Examples of devices with this screen include the T420 and T172i.
