Background

This is the international distribution unit of Bell-Phillip Television Productions, Inc. Formed around 1993, it handles international distribution for The Bold and the Beautiful, and until 1997 worked alongside New World Entertainment.



1st Logo (1993-Late 1998)

Visuals: Essentially just the following words in a white Gill Sans font on a black background:

Technique: A computer text graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appeared on international airings of The Bold and the Beautiful from 1993 to late 1998.

2nd Logo (Late 1998-Mid-2010)

Visuals: There is a scene of a beach with a palm tree on the left side of the screen. Over this image are the words:

The text casts a drop shadow.

Variant: The logo was later stretched for widescreen.

Technique: Live-action footage, with an overlaid digital text graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appears on international airings of The Bold and the Beautiful from late 1998 to mid-2010.

3rd Logo (Mid-2010-2019?)

Visuals: Over live-action footage of waves crashing over rocks on a beach is the text:

A copyright notice, as well as a notice stating that all music is on iTunes, a link to the Bold and the Beautiful's Facebook page and the URL "www.boldandbeautiful.com" appear below.

Variants:

  • For the logo's first year, the "BBL DISTRIBUTION, INC." text is in a thinner and narrower font.
  • Starting around 2013, a link to the Bold and the Beautiful's Twitter page is added.

Technique: Live-action footage, with an overlaid digital text graphic.

Audio: None. Network 10 airings of The Bold and The Beautiful use the last few notes of the theme tune (Network 10 generally cuts the credits, jumping straight to this logo at the end of the episode).

Availability: Seen on international airings of The Bold and The Beautiful between mid-2010 and late 2019.

4th Logo (Late 2019?-)

Visuals: Over a new beach shot, this time of a calmer beach at sunset, is the text:

Below is a copyright notice, as well as links for the Bold and the Beautiful social media pages and the URL "www.boldandbeautiful.com".

Technique: Live-action footage, with an overlaid digital text graphic.

Audio: Same as the previous logo. Oddly, Network 10 broadcasts in Australia continue to use the end of the 2011 theme tune, even after it was replaced during the show's 30th anniversary in 2017.

Availability: Seen on current international airings of The Bold and The Beautiful beginning around late 2019.
