B-Girls Productions

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Background

This is the production company of Anne Beatts (future head of Lipshtick Productions) and Eve Brandstein. The name comes from their last initials.

Logo (September 4, 1989)

Visuals: On a black background, there is the text

B-GIRLS
PRODUCTIONS

with "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" under it. Two red kiss prints appear on the "B" and the "S" respectively.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: The sound of women talking and laughing is heard. The last notes of the show's closing theme also play when this logo appears.

Availability: The only confirmed appearance of this is from the 1989 CBS TV pilot Julie Brown: The Show. The logo is preserved on the Julie Brown pilot as a bonus feature on the DVD release of The Edge. There's a possibility this appeared on the pilot of Homeroom, since Brandstein executive produced the pilot, and may have appeared on the 1991 ABC TV pilot The Belles of Bleecker Street.
