Arush Entertainment

Background

Arush Entertainment was a video game publisher based in Scottsdale, Arizona and founded in September 1999 by Jim Perkins and David Adams. They were a division of Web Corp. before being bought out by HIP Interactive in August 2004. Eventually, both companies would become bankrupt.

1st Logo (March 30, 2001-2005)

Visuals: An orange ball has multiple curved, burning antennas. Underneath the object is the company name in a stacked format, "arush" in lowercase, and its tagline "play outside the box.".

Variants:

  • An in-credit variant exists.
  • On Fear Factor: Unleashed for Game Boy Advance, the logo is slightly desaturated and the ball and text are horizontally aligned.
  • On Hunting Unlimited for PC, the logo has a white glow and is squished.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: The on-screen version was seen on Monkey Brains for PC. The in-credit variant is more common and can be found on Fear Factor: Unleashed for Game Boy Advance and the first 3 Hunting Unlimited games both on their loading and title screens.

2nd Logo (January 25, 2005)

Visuals: The logo from before fades in on a black background; the few differences are "ENTERTAINMENT" being replaced with "PUBLISHING" and the tagline removed. The logo starts bursting towards the left and shines brighter as its burst moves towards the center. At this point, the screen starts rapidly shaking, flashing the screen to white multiple times as the burst grows brighter. Then, the logo crossfades to white where we then see the logo from earlier.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Synthesized buzzes at the beginning and then multiple zaps and sparks as the logo shakes. Throughout the logo, a dramatic, ancient-like soundtrack of an ascending robotic chorus singing is heard. When the logo fades in on a white background, one last zap, albeit muffled, plays.

Availability: Only seen on Playboy: The Mansion for PS2.
