Background

This is the production company of actor, comedian and television host Arsenio Hall.

1st Logo (January 3, 1989-May 27, 1994)

Visuals: On a black background with a purple vertical stripe on the right side of the screen are the words "ARSENIO HALL" in large capital letters, with "C O M M U N I C A T I O N S ." in a smaller white font on the bottom of the screen. The word "HALL" takes up most of the screen, and it is in dark blue, while "ARSENIO" is much smaller and in a light blue-purple gradient, and it is near the top of the screen. The words "ARSENIO HALL" each have an orange line under them. Some of the letters of "C O M M U N I C A T I O N S" have colored shapes in them (the "O"s have circles in their holes (red for the first one, light blue for the second) and the "M"s and "N"s have triangles in the gaps on the top (light blue for the first "M", green for the second "M", and red for both "N"s). The logo is still.

Technique: A digital graphic.

Audio: Two arrangements of The Arsenio Hall Show theme music. The first one features the outro of the theme. The second one is the first four bars of the jazzy theme tune (composed by Hall himself), followed by Arsenio Hall shouting heavily "Woof! Woof!" (the dog bark, ala the infamous "Dog Pound" section of his studio audience, which cheered to Arsenio's signature expression while swinging their fists in the air). Though the theme music's arrangement changed with the show's opening titles, this theme remained the same throughout the run.

Audio Variant: On the short-lived 1991 music program The Party Machine with Nia Peeples, the sounder had Nia going "Arf! Arf!" in place of Arsenio.

Availability: It was originally seen on The Arsenio Hall Show and The Party Machine with Nia Peeples. Arsenio Jams (edited versions of The Arsenio Hall Show that used to air occasionally on VH1) kept this logo intact. Also appeared on Time Out: The Truth About HIV, AIDS and You on VHS.

2nd Logo (March 5-April 23, 1997)

Visuals: Arsenio's signature, in a pink-red color, writes itself in on a black background. As the signature finishes writing, the background gradually becomes a blue-purple gradient backdrop not unlike the set of The Arsenio Hall Show. The white text "Arsenio Hall Communications" (with the first two words being stacked) fades in below.

Trivia: The way Arsenio's signature writes itself in is similar to the intro for The Arsenio Hall Show. However, on that show, the signature was blue.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: Some people saying "Hmmmmm!", referring to Arsenio's catchphrase.

Availability: Only seen on Arsenio.

3rd Logo (September 9, 2013-May 21, 2014)

Visuals: Same as the first logo, but the font for "ARSENIO HALL" is different, and the colors are brighter. A silhouette of Arsenio Hall is in the "A" in "ARSENIO". As with the first logo, this logo is still.

Technique: A digital graphic.

Audio: A five-note guitar riff, followed by a sound of a dog barking.

Audio Variants:

  • On earlier episodes, there is a drum beat, accompanied by a single guitar riff note, then the dog barking.
  • On one episode of the show, the sound of the dog barking is absent.
  • Sometimes, the closing theme plays it over.

Availability: Seen on the 2013 revival of The Arsenio Hall Show.

4th Logo (October 29, 2019)

Visuals: Same as the first and third logos, but "ARSENIO HALL" is in a slightly different font and "COMMUNICATIONS" (without a period) is in a thinner font. Once again, the logo is still.

Technique: A digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Arsenio Hall: Smart & Classy.
