Ar-Ko Video

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Logo (1980s)

Visuals: Against a space background with stars moving towards different sides of the screen, a wifeframe model of a polygon almost resembling a sphere zooms towards the screen before settling. After a few seconds, the polygon flashes into stylized computer-like text reading "ARKO". The top of the letters shine, before they fade out. Outlined, stylized text reading "AR-KO VIDEO" (with the top left side of the V elongated to have an extra side above the first five characters of the text) then zooms towards the screen until it's off-screen.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A dreamy synth tune that sounds like that of the 1988 RCA Columbia Pictures International Video logo at the beginning.

Availability: Seen on Greek SECAM tapes of films like O Salonikios and Allos gia to trelladiko.

2nd Logo (1986)

Visuals: On a black background, the "V" from the logo made up of red outlines zooms towards the screen as it rotates before settling. The "V" then turns green, also being filled, and the rest of the letters from the logo appear in red. The letters of the logo swaps their colors four times. Then, "Η" and "ΠΑΡΟΥΣΙΑΖΕΙ" in white and made up of thin straight lines appear above and below the logo respectively.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: It's known to have appeared on Ένοχος.
