Logo (July 31, 2015-)

Visuals: In darkness, a turquoise light appears. It forms a magic lamp (like what you would find a genie in) that a young boy, also turquoise, is rubbing. It flies out of his hands and starts circling him, leaving trails of turquoise magic as a space background is revealed. The boy walks across the reflective floor as the lamp flies back into his hands. He points the lamp upward as it shoots magic. The lamp and boy turn into a turquoise star, which briefly shines and then dims. Turquoise magic swirls from the star, drawing the "a" shape of the Alibaba logo. A shine draws over the logo with filmstrips, completing its design of a smiling man. The text "ALIBABA PICTURES" fades in below.

Variants:

  • Usually, the logo is shortened to the appearance of the star and the logo getting drawn.
  • On most international co-productions, the star and the light are absent, and the Chinese translation "阿里巴巴 影业集团", with the trademark symbol next to it, is added underneath the company name.
  • The Chinese text may also read "阿里巴影业"

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A majestic piano-driven theme with "sparkle" sounds or the opening theme.

Availability: It debuted on Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (domestic releases used the normal version; international releases used the variant). So far, the variation can be seen on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Star Trek Beyond and Next Gen.
