Background

Alastair Aiken (born 6 November 1993), better known by his online alias Ali-A (or by his original alias Matroix), is a British YouTuber known for Call of Duty and Fortnite commentaries and vlogs. He is one of the highest-paid professional online gamers. His main channel Ali-A has a subscriber count of over 18 million, with its total views exceeding 5 billion. His second channel, More Ali-A, has a YouTube subscriber count of over 7.7 million and a total of over 1.9 billion video views.

On 23 April 2018, Ali-A created a new channel, titled "Clare & Ali" with his partner, Clare Siobhan. The channel has since gained over 777,000 subscribers and generated more than 29 million video views. In September 2020, he created a fourth channel titled "Ali-A Plays", where he uploads content relating to the Call of Duty franchise only. Currently, the channel has more than 386,000 subscribers and more than 21.2 million video views.

1st Logo (November 19, 2010-October 12, 2014)

Visuals: On a black background, a blue light occurs, and two black rings zoom out whilst spinning. A blue letter "A" zooms out whilst spinning also, and the rings reveal the text "li-A". They spin, wiping out the text, and zoom in.

Audio: Two whooshes followed by two reversed clangs, and another whoosh.

2nd Logo (October 13, 2014-2016)

Visuals: On a black background with smoke shown, the camera pans around the same two black rings and the blue text "Ali-A". Multiple close-ups of them are shown, later cutting to the text zooming out and the rings drawing in.

Audio: The opening theme of the video.

Availability: Seen on Ali-A's videos from 2014-2016 beginning with the video "Advanced Warfare ZOMBIES CONFIRMED! - *NEW* Call of Duty Zombies Exo! (COD 2014)".

3rd Logo (September 30, 2017-2019)

Visuals: On a black background, three curved lines and a blue arrow shape (resembling the letter "A") are shown connecting slightly whilst the camera pans around them. The footage cuts to the same objects zooming out and connecting, and blue text "Ali-A" rises up letter-by-letter while a white curved line is shown spinning.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: "Brass" by Dirty Rush & Gregor Es.

Availability: Seen on Ali-A's videos from 2017-2019 starting with the video "WORLD'S FIRST... iPHONE SUPPLY DROP OPENING!".

Legacy: This intro was majorly notorious in the meme community, where it was usually used in fails with its audio being bass-boosted, either deteriorated.
