Background

AMC Studios is the in-house production unit of the AMC Television Network, a unit of AMC Networks Inc.

1st Logo (October 31, 2010-March 31, 2013)

Nicknames: "aMC Rectangle", "Green aMC", "Story Matters Here"

Logo: A green rectangle is seen that has "aMC" on the left in a smaller rectangle and "STUDIOS" is on the right side.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme to the show or silence.

Availability: Appeared on the first three seasons of both The Walking Dead and Talking Dead. It may be preserved in syndication, Netflix streaming and the Anchor Bay Entertainment DVD and Blu-ray releases of the show.

2nd Logo (October 13, 2013-October 23, 2016)

Nicknames: "aMC Rectangle II", "Gold aMC", "Gold Bars", "Something More"

Logo: There is what appears to be several gold bars. A small part of one slides down and it says "aMC" in the style of the previous logo. "STUDIOS" is to the right in white.

FX/SFX: The sliding of the gold bar. Done by Troika.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show or silence.

Availability: Appeared on The Walking Dead from season 4 to 6, Hell on Wheels and the first lot of episodes of Fear the Walking Dead. Other shows on AMC also contain this logo.

3rd Logo (May 22, 2016-July 13, 2020)

Nicknames: "aMC Rectangle III", "Gold aMC II", "Golden Shine", "aMC: Good as Gold!", "Something More II"

Logo: A gold background is seen with a corner of a black rectangle on the left and a "ST" on the right. It zooms in a bit, then bounces back, revealing a black rectangle with the "aMC" from the previous two logos in a bright grayish-gold color, with "STUDIOS" to the right of it. The rectangle has a golden outline which shimmers.

FX/SFX: The logo zooming, bouncing back and shining. Done by Troika.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme.

Availability: First seen on Preacher, and also seen on season 6 of Talking Dead, season 7 of The Walking Dead, later episodes of Fear the Walking Dead, Feed the Beast, and more AMC shows.

4th Logo (October 4, 2020- )

Nicknames: "aMC Rectangle IV", "Something More III"

Logo: On a black background, we see a thin rectangle zooms out, and moves, rotates to the left to reveal the "a" and "C" moves to the left and right between the "M" to form "aMC" from the 2nd logo and the rectangle stops rotating, with the word "STUDIOS" appear and moves to the right very slowly.

FX/SFX: The rectangle zooming out, moving and rotating. This was designed by Trollbäck+Company.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Current. Seen on Talking Dead starting with S9 E16.
