Background

3d6 Games was a game development company that was formed by Digital Eclipse employees William S. Schmitt and Troy Sheets in 1999. The company went defunct in 2002, and it was quietly revived 10 years later to develop mobile and tablet games.

1st Logo (November 13, 2000-September 2001)

Visuals: On a gray background, three golden blocks are seen laying across the floor, with the letters "3d6" on each block. Below is the golden word "Games". The entire logo is surrounded by a spotlight.

Variant: On Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 and Madden NFL 2002, the GameBrains logo is shown above. Plus, the colors are darker.

Audio: None, or the opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on Madden NFL 2001, Madden NFL 2002, Road Rash and Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 for Game Boy Color.

2nd Logo (September 5, 2001-November 23, 2002)

Visuals: The text "3d6 Games" is seen in a serif font, with three dices placed on the top right of the logo. The background depends on the game.

Variants:

  • On Tetris Worlds, the logo is on a space background.
  • On Atlantis: The Lost Empire, the text is in gold, and it was surrounded by a green marble plate.
  • On The Revenge of Shinobi, the text is blue on a sandy background. Plus, the URL is shown below the logo.
  • On Altered Beast: Guardians of the Realms, it's similar to the Atlantis variant, except the background is blue, and the text "Game Boy Advance version created by" above the logo. There are statues behind the logo.
