Background

Zodiak Media Group was a conglomerate formed by Italian media giant DeAgostini. It was originally composed of Zodiak Television, Marathon Media (France) and Magnolia (Italy) in 2008, and gained current form after the acquisition of RDF Television in 2010. Zodiak also had stake in several smaller companies all over the world, including Touchpaper Television (UK), DIXI Company (Russia) and Yellow Bird Films (Denmark). In February 2016 Zodiak merged into Banijay Group, the name retained in Zodiak Rights and Kids divisions, otherwise dropped.
