Background

The Stone Quarry (formerly Cruel and Unusual Films, Inc.) is an American production company that was established in 2004 by filmmaker Zack Snyder, his wife Deborah Snyder, and their producing partner Wesley Coller.

Cruel and Unusual Films

Logo: We see an illustration of a girl (Babydoll from Sucker Punch) with a katana in her hand. Underneath is the name "CRUEL AND UNUSUAL FILMS", with "CRUEL" and UNUSUAL" filled in white.

Variant: On Sucker Punch, a blue light shines behind the logo.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme of the film.

Availability: Seen at the end of Sucker Punch, 300: Rise of an Empire, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman and Justice League.

Logo: On a black background, a burst of light appears with squares coming out of it. A camera shutter emerges from the light and proceeds to open, revealing a hone and chisel with white lines formed in a circle. The white lines are drawn to form a diamond with two wheats being drawn as the name "THE STONE QUARRY" appears in 3D letters.

Variant: On Wonder Woman 1984 and Zack Snyder's Justice League, the logo is shortened..

Technique: 2D mixed with CGI animation, mainly for the hone and chisel and the company name. This was done by yU+co.

Music/Sounds: The opening/closing theme of the movie or none.

Availability: Current. The shortened version debuted at the end of Wonder Woman 1984 and later appeared on Zack Snyder's Justice League. The full logo debuted at the beginning of Army of the Dead and later appeared on Army of Thieves.
